Your Photo Story in Rome
FAQ
What type of photoshoots do you offer?
Couples, surprise proposals, engagements, solo portraits, family photos, friends, honeymoon, maternity, babymoon, graduation, and personal branding portraits.
Do you offer private photoshoots in Rome?
Yes. All our photoshoots are PRIVATE, so the session is only for you and your group.
How long will it take to receive my photos?
You will receive your edited photos the day after your photoshoot.
What kind of gear do you use?
We use high-quality Sony cameras, including the Alpha 7R V, paired with quality Sony lenses such as the 24-70mm zoom and a premium 85mm prime lens, along with professional speedlight equipment.
How many photos will we receive, and how will we receive them?
The number of photos depends on the session length and how the shoot goes. You will receive all the good photos from the session, with a nice variety and good quality. All photos are edited, and distractions are removed if needed. The photos will be delivered in a private online Pixieset gallery, where you can view and download them easily. The gallery will stay available for 6 months.
How do I book a photoshoot in Rome?
Go to the Book section on my website (powered by Bokun). Choose your session and the number of people (prices are shown per person), then pick your date and time from the calendar. All details are clearly listed before checkout, and payment is done through a secure system. After you book, you’ll receive a confirmation email, and I’ll also message you so we can set everything together. Feel free to message me anytime if you want to plan the details.
Can we choose the location?
Many sessions are designed around specific spots in Rome (and nearby areas), and the options are listed clearly on the booking page. I also offer customizable sessions where you can choose the location. For special places or specific events, please contact me in advance so we can confirm what is possible.
I’m not good at posing. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Most people feel that way. I’ll guide you step by step in a simple way. I mix easy guided poses with natural movement, so the photos feel real.
What should we wear?
Simple outfits work best for photos in Rome. Solid colors and clean, simple styles usually look better in the photos. Colors like red, blue, green, or black work very well. It’s better to avoid big logos, large patterns, and colors like beige, cream, gray, or white, because they can blend too much with Rome’s background. If you want, you can show me your outfit before the session and I can give you quick feedback. I also share more outfit tips in the Blog.
How long is a typical session?
Most sessions start from around 30 minutes and can go up to a few hours. It depends on the type of session, how many locations you choose, the time of day, and how crowded the area is. If a spot is very busy, we may need a bit more time to keep things smooth.
Can we do more than one location?
Yes. There are different options in the booking section, and some sessions include multiple locations. You can also add extra time or add-ons, depending on what you choose.
Can we change outfits?
Yes, but please tell me in advance so we can plan it. During outdoor shoots there is no private changing room, so outfit changes are usually a quick change in a nearby restroom or café if available, or simple swaps like changing a top or adding or removing a jacket. Bringing extra outfits can be time-consuming and slow the shoot down, so keeping it minimal and easy to carry works best.
Can I bring props (flowers, ring box, champagne)?
Yes, but please coordinate with me in advance. Props and extra bags can slow the shoot down, especially in busy areas, so keeping it simple usually works best.
Do you do surprise proposal photoshoots in Rome, and can you help me plan it?
Yes. We plan the timing and the exact spot in advance, and I’ll guide you on where to stand and how to keep it smooth. If you want, we can also arrange extras like flowers, simple decorations, a videographer, or a violinist with advance notice.
What if it rains or the weather is bad?
We can reschedule, change location, or cancel depending on the situation. I try to keep it fair and simple.
What if we are late?
Please contact me as soon as you can. If the schedule allows, I’ll adjust. If not, we may need to shorten the session.
Do you work with kids and families?
Yes. I keep it relaxed and fast, with simple prompts so kids do not get bored.
When will and how will we receive the photos?
You will usually receive your photos the next day in a private and secure online gallery with a download PIN, where you can view, share, and download them.
Do you edit the photos and offer retouching?
Yes. I do clean and natural edits with attention to skin tones, light, and color, and I remove distractions when needed. If you have a special retouching request, let me know and I’ll confirm what is possible.
Do you offer a video reel?
Yes, a short video reel is available as an add-on and can be added during booking. The clips are filmed with an iPhone and stabilizer, then edited into the final reel.
Can we request specific shots or ideas from Instagram?
Yes. You can send me a few references and, if possible, we can use them as inspiration. I’m always open to creative ideas.
Is this good for business branding?
Yes. It’s great for for personal branding and business portraits with Rome’s historic background.
Are permits needed for photoshoots in Rome?
For a normal portrait session in public areas, it is usually fine. If you plan anything in private places (like churches, rooftops, hotel terraces, or restaurants), tell me in advance so we can check the rules and get permission if needed.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the session, with a money-back guarantee. If you need to reschedule, I’ll always try to help and be as flexible as possible, depending on availability.
